The Delaware Drum and Dance hafla continues into 2024.
BUT WE MOVED
now 1st Sunday at 3:30/4pm ("doors open" at 3:30, performances and presentations by 4 pm)
Aznd, the Newark Arts Alliance is also moved to the Shoppes at Louviers in Newark, DE
We are currently mostly HYBRID: online via Zoom, with some performers in person at the Newark Arts Alliance.
contact Lorelei if you need the Zoom link for any Hafla. Some month all presenters will be in person, with Zoom for remote audience. Other months will include remote and pre-recorded performances/presentations. Some months will be more lectures and some will be more about costume and technology used for dance. Stay tuned as each month is announced.

She now continues her training at Sahara Dance in Washington DC where she has recently performed with Raqqesat Greek Tsifteteli Company. She is debuting as a choreographer and first-time soloist at Art of the Belly 2025 and anticipates competing in the Raqs Sharqi division at Rakkas Festival 2025 in Istanbul, Turkey. In addition to her passion for dance, she likes to travel and enjoys cooking, gardening, and taking care of her four pets. |

Lorelei will be dancing Improvisational fusion with veil, and maybe a longer traditional piece. Stay tuned
April (MD) April has spent much of her life studying many other dance forms, but belly dance is by far her favorite. is also proud to be the resident bellydancer and a core member of the Rogue Swan Vaudeville Theatre Troupe. April teaches tribal fusion bellydance at Beach Bee Yoga in Havre de Grace and runs the quarterly Moonshine Hafla. She is also a certified instructor of Sharqui: The Bellydance Workout and has classes running at Cecil College. In addition to her experience in bellydance, April has spent much of her life studying many other dance forms, but belly dance is by far her favorite. https://aprilmonique.weebly.com/
