- 3rd Sunday in Apr: 4/16 (Theme TBD, but likely Spring/Faeries/Flowers)
- 3rd Sunday in Jul: 7/16 Theme: Hafla-con (Scifi/comic book)
- 1st Sunday in Oct: 11/5 Theme: Blacklight hafla
- Some years we also hold Improv Roulette in Summer, Special fall night for Blacklight, or Bellyanna in Dec. More details TBD

Nov 2023 Hafla will also be Hybrid. TBD on other events Nov is Hafla Con. Performances will be lit by blacklight. We have room for some audience at the Newark Arts Alliance. The dancers of Tapestry Dance Project love to move together!
They perform improvisational transcultural belly dance. Our dance style is a non-verbal language inspired by core focused dance forms from around the world, including Middle Eastern, Indian, North African, Spanish, and Modern dances. Improvisational Transcultural Belly Dance is an elegant and earthy " in the moment " style, which celebrates connection and community.

Khuzama is Delaware based, award winning professional belly dancer and instructor. She draws her influences from modern and classical Egyptian style, fusion with a hint of Lebanese Oriental. She has performed all over the country and taught at multiple festivals. Khuzama is known for performing to all types of music, while staying true to the roots of Middle Eastern North African dance.
Doukissa and Dendara Nar (DE) doukissa.com
Doukissa has studied the ancient art of belly dancing and continues to update her skills in workshops and seminars. Belly dance or middle eastern dance is performed in the middle east at nightclubs, for visitors, and more commonly, done at home by women for women. Belly dance is known for its isolated but fluid and feminine movements. Doukissa prefers dancing Egyptian style letting the music influence the movements. She enjoys using cane, candles, and veils to lend an air of mystery to the performance.

Hayatidance is a dance instructor, choreographer and event producer in Buffalo, NY. She is trained in both traditional and fusion style. She is the founder and creative director of The Kind Killers as well as co-founder of HipSis. She is thrilled to join this incredible show!
